Southern Safari

Day 1: Arrival

Your safari guide and driver will meet you at Dar es Salaam International Airport. After going through Immigration, you will drive to your hotel for check in and overnight.

Day 2: Dar to Nyerere National Park and Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, set out with picnic lunch and drive to Nyerere National Park for game drives and an evening walk before settling in at your camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Days 3 & 4: Two full days in Nyerere National Park

Head out after breakfast with a packed lunch for a full day of game drives, birding and boating, spending one day in the greater north of the park and one day in the greater south, arriving at camp for dinner and overnight.

Days 5 & 6: Nyerere to Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, set out again with picnic lunch and drive to Mikumi National Park for two days of game drives or birding inside the park with all meals and overnights at your camp or lodge.

Day 7: Mikumi to Udzungwa National Park

After breakfast, you will set out with picnic lunch and drive to Udzungwa National Park with birding en route, arriving at the Camp around evening for dinner and and overnight.

Day 8: Full day in Udzungwa

After breakfast, you will depart with picnic lunch and take a walk to the famous Sanje waterfalls, returning in late afternoon to Udzungwa Tented Camp for meals and overnight.

Days 9 – 11: Udzungwa to Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, set out again with picnic lunch and drive towards Ruaha National Park where you will enjoy three nights of game drives or birding inside this park, with all meals and overnight stays at the Ruaha River Lodge.

Day 12: Departure

After breakfast, you will drive to Ruaha airstrip for your domestic flight to Dar es Salaam, where you will connect with your outbound flight back home.
