Eastern Birding Tour

Day 1: Arrival

Your safari guide and driver will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport. After going through Immigration, you will drive to Arusha for check in at your hotel, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Kilimanjaro to Mkomanzi National Park

After breakfast, you will set out with picnic lunch and drive to Mkomanzi National Park for a full birding day inside the park, which is believed to have most long distance travelling birds from all over the world. Enjoy a picnic lunch with views of the mountains and an evening drive to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Days 3 & 4: Mkomanzi to West Usambara

After breakfast, set out again with picnic lunch and drive towards west Usambara, where you will enjoy two days of birding in the forest and two nights at your lodge or camp.

Days 5 & 6: West to East Usambara

After breakfast, head to the eastern forest for two more days and nights.

Days 7 – 9: East Usambara to Saadani National Park

After breakfast, leave Usambara and head south to Saadani National Park on the coast for three more days of birding and game drives.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, you will drive to the airport in Dar es Salaam to connect with your outbound flight home.
